"The awards acknowledge the importance of small businesses to the community and the local economy. The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show small businesses account for 97 per cent of all business in NSW and that the number of small businesses is growing along with the number of people working in small businesses. There’s really nothing small about small business – it has a big impact on our economy.
The Business Achiever Awards is a way to recognise local businesses which excel in their field.
Running a business is very demanding and often the owners put in many more hours than the standard 38-hour week. These people are their own boss so no-one is there to tell them they are doing a good job. Nominating a business for a business achiever award is one way grateful customers can give them a pat on the back for a job well done."
