The blood-sucking students at Northmead High School have done it again - making it into the grand final of the 2008 Rock Eisteddfod with their exploration into the world of vampires.
THE Big Cat sightings just keep rolling in following last week's spotting with dozens of people claiming to have had a close encounter with the mysterious beast.
Last week's story about a sighting in Berowra Heights received more than 1000 hits online and several people contacted the paper with their own stories.
Middle Dural resident Neil Clark emailed the Times with photos of an animal print which were taken at 7.30am on Saturday, July 26, while he and a mate were walking on the fire trail about 2km from the end of Porters Rd, Kenthurst.
"The large round prints are from a horse but the (not) other," Mr Neil said. "We found about eight to nine of the prints in a line before they skidded off into the bush. They were about 2m apart from each other.
"I'm not suggesting they belong to a big cat and ... they may be from an emu (emus have three toes) but maybe someone can give us an idea of what they do belong to."
Meanwhile an Annangrove resident who did not wish to be named said when her family lived in Kurrajong nine years ago, several neighbours saw the panther, but only a few reported it.
"Others like myself kept quite," she said. "I lost an Arabian horse who broke his leg with fright whilst turning to gallop away."
She said Blue Mountains locals believed the animal was related to a cat released from a private collection.
She said five years ago at Annangrove her dogs went crazy at night, barking and there were "enormous roars" from the front property.
"We all know what we saw and heard in Annangrove," she said. "So there are quite a few of us who stand by our word: that they are out there."
Another woman emailed and said that 12 months ago she saw the "large cat" trying to scale the wire fence on the way down to Berowra Waters.
So, the hunt is on to capture quality images of this elusive Big Cat and if you have seen it or have any pictures email through the details to editor@hillsshiretimes.com.au
