CLINTON Mokomoko, charged with the murder of a neighbour in Cambewarra Ave, Castle Hill, is due to appear before Parramatta Court on Thursday.
The 35-year-old New Zealand national was extradited from New Zealand and arrived in Sydney last week under police escort.
He was remanded in custody at Waverley Court on Friday over the stabbing death of 60-year-old Josef (Joe) Maskiewicz at his Castle Hill home on February 22.
Detectives from Strike Force Hoskin, set up to investigate the death, alerted New Zealand authorities after Mr Mokomoko flew to New Zealand.
He was arrested on March 4 on the South Island's west coast, after an off-duty officer recognised Mr Mokomoko from a description circulated by Castle Hill detectives.
Mr Maskiewicz, a father-of-one, was found dead at about 1pm on Friday, February 22, by his former wife after family members became alarmed after not hearing from him.
He was last seen alive the day before at about noon.
Mr Maskiewicz, who ran a video filming company, told neighbours he was looking forward to his retirement.
Detectives from Strike Force Hoskin flew to New Zealand on Monday to bring Mr Mokomoko back to Australia to face the murder charge.
