A MAN allegedly using stolen credit cards in Winston Hills shopping centre was detained after a shopper made a citizen's arrest.
Castle Hill police said they were called to the shopping centre at noon on Friday after a man was chased through the shopping centre.
A shop assistant noticed a man allegedly acting suspiciously when using a credit card.
She questioned him but alleged the man grabbed the card from her and ran out of the shop.
The store manager gave chase. A member of the public continued the chase and detained the man until police arrived.
A 46-year-old Cabramatta man has been charged with seven offences including three counts of using a false instrument, three counts of obtaining a benefit by deception and one count of having a false instrument.
He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on February 22.
